Samsung has recently sent out the invitations to media for a keynote presentation on February 26 at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. Samsung has reportedly confirmed that it will not showcase the Galaxy S8 at this year's MWC however there is a high possibility of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 release during the event.

The South Korean tech giant has released a teaser image via Twitter of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 that depicts a shape of the tablet with a physical home button at the bottom. The outline looks to be wide, which also hints that this is a tablet, and not a smartphone. The press invite for the MWC mentioned that the event will start at 7PM CET on Feb. 26 2017, as per GSM Arena.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is the successor of the Galaxy Tab S2. The device has already received FCC and Wi-Fi certifications; it was also benchmarked by GFXBench in January, offering a peek onto the specs and features of the imminent tablet.

According to the benchmark listing, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will feature a 9.6-inch FHD display (2048 x 1536) resolutions along with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which will clock at 2.1 GHz. The tablet that has model number SM-T820 is said to feature Wi-Fi connectivity, while the variant with model number SM-T825 will feature both Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity. Galaxy Tab S3 is also reported to be thinner than its predecessor and will be coming with "enhanced portability" whose details have not been elaborated.

The device offers 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage capacity. It is also speculated to have a Qualcomm Adreno 530 GPU. On camera front, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is rumored to have a 12MP rear camera with FHD video recording and a 5MP selfie camera that would be capable of FHD video recording. The Tab S3 is likely to come preloaded with Android 7.0 Nougat.

It has been more than a year since a new Galaxy Tab S tablet being announced in the market. The Tab S2 was launched way back in August 2015, thus the successor Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is long anticipated. MWC 2017 will also see the release of other flagships from other companies too like LG, etc.
