Even though "Alita: Battle Angel" shoot has recently been wrapped up, there are reports that "Fast and the Furious" actress Michelle Rodriguez is suited for a role in the movie. The "Avatar" actress is actually involved in the production of the movie adaptation of the 1990's Anime and also stars as one of the film's important characters.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Michelle Rodriguez's involvement in "Alita: Battle Angel" cast is huge, carrying the role of Gelda, a cyborg who is born in Mars and a highly skilled warrior. The "Avatar" actress joins the previously mentioned cast that includes Rosa Salazar, Jennifer Connelly, Jackie Earle Haley, Christoph Waltz, Ed Skrein, and more.

Cinema Blend reports that "Alita: Battle Angel" will be directed by Robert Rodriguez, who is famous for films like "Desperado" and "From Dusk Till Dawn." While James Cameron will be the one who writes and produced the upcoming film with long-time producing partner Jon Landau.

There is no telling what James Cameron's contribution to "Alita: Battle Angel", but movie goers can expect a lot of story-telling from the award-winning director and producer. And Cameron's involvement in the project can be a profitable addition to the movie's production.

"Alita: Battle Angel" is set in the future that sees the journey of the titular character of whom is a cyborg girl played by "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trails" Rosa Salazar. Alita is then found and revived by Scientist played by Christopher Waltz and together explores the dark past of the character.

It is reported that "Alita: Battle Angel" shooting at the dessert plains of Austin, Texas starting from October until February this year has finally come to a close. The film's post-production will definitely going to be extensive as it requires a lot of CGI to be used for the background and the cast's cybernetic ligaments. The movie adaptation of Yukito Kishiro's 1990s manga will be released on July 20, 2018.
