Jennifer Aniston has reportedly served as a much-needed support system for her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, whose wife, Angelina Jolie, filed for divorce last September.

As Pitt and Jolie attempt to hammer out the final details of their divorce and custody arrangement for their kids, a report claims Aniston has been there for her former partner and added that her husband, Justin Theroux, is "totally cool" with the reconciliation.

"Jen's told her clan that [Brad's] no longer banned among their circle," the source told OK! Magazine on Sunday. "She's even told Brad she hopes to see him on the scene in LA very soon."

Aniston and Pitt were married for five years when the Friends actress filed for divorce amid rumors of an affair between Pitt and Jolie on the set of their 2005 film, Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Although Aniston and Pitt's split continued to make headlines several months after their breakup, the couple's messy divorce ultimately came to an end.

Now, years later, they are reportedly on good terms and for Pitt, that means being welcomed back into his former group of friends.

"Brad's being slowly welcomed back into the old clan," the insider said. "Attending that [fundraiser] with Courteney Cox was a huge step forward."

Moving forward, Pitt is reportedly hoping to step out with Aniston and Theroux.

"Brad's totally into the idea of a photo opp with Jen and Justin-it will certainly rustle some feathers at Chez Jolie," the insider added.

Aniston and Theroux tied the knot in August 2015, about one year after Pitt and Jolie's wedding in France, and have continued to be spotted together ever since.
