Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck parted ways amicably years ago and have been able to continue to function as a family for their three kids since then.

Although, their friendly relationship doesn't mean that their family's interaction has been drama free.

According to a new report, the former couple's mothers have been feuding ever since the couple decided to move forward with their plans for divorce.

As some may recall, Garner and Affleck announced the end of their marriage in June 2015 but didn't proceed with their divorce until earlier this year.

On Tuesday, OK! Magazine revealed that Garner and Affleck's mothers, Patricia and Christine, didn't get along when the couple was married and now that they are preparing to cut ties for good. Things between them are said to be even tenser.

"Christine and Patricia have both temporarily moved to the west coast while Ben and Jen get their act together," the source told the magazine. "They're essentially using their moms as message bearers."

"Trouble is, they both want to help with the kids (Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel) and they're butting heads a lot about scheduling," the insider continued. "They're both super-protective and controlling, and it's only gotten worse since Ben and Jen decided to divorce."

The two women are also reportedly at odds due to the fact that Patricia allegedly encouraged Garner and Affleck to split, while Christine attempted to convince Garner to call off her plans for the divorce.

"Christine was hoping to the last minute that they'd last the course, while Patricia's thrilled Jen had the courage to call it quits," the insider claimed.
