Brad Pitt may have just had the most disappointing Father's Day ever.

According to a report, Pitt was hoping to play paintball with his kids on Sunday and shower them with gifts but instead, he was faced with the brutal news of his family leaving town just before the holiday.

"He's super bummed that Angie took the kids out of town," a source told Hollywood Life on Sunday. "He's not complaining, but he had planned to spend some time with them for Father's Day. He was even working on his place to make it special for them, adding a new skateboard ramp. He saw Angie's 100-foot water slide and wanted to make his place special for them as well. Although their relationship has improved, communication continues to be a struggle at times."

As the outlet revealed, Jolie was photographed at LAX over the weekend with an army green coat, thigh-high boots and aviator sunglasses as her six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, walked beside her.

The Hollywood Life report went on to reveal that while Jolie hasn't officially confirmed where she and her kids were traveling to, she may be visiting Ethiopia in honor of Zahara's adoption date. As the outlet explained, Zahara was officially adopted on July 6.

In addition to Jolie and Pitt adopting Zahara from Ethiopia, the couple also adopted Maddox from Cambodia and Pax from Vietnam. Their other three children were welcomed naturally.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September of last year after just two years of marriage.
