Common And Angela: Rapper Confirms Relationship With Rye 'There's Definitely A Connection' [VIDEO]
Common has come right out and confirmed he and political analyst Angela Rye are dating!
“Yes, there’s definitely a connection with Angela Rye,” he said during an interview with Bevy Smith on SiriusXM recently. “She’s a wonderful woman. And you know, I’ll just say I’m dating. I’m happy right now. She’s an incredible human being.”
Just when we thought he was trying to play coy about his romance with the outspoken CNN correspondent, he went on to gush about her a little bit more and said she has a soft side.
“That’s the good thing about Angela, too, she’s just a fun person. She’s obviously about the mission and the people…Just because you’re conscious and aware doesn’t mean you got to not have fun. You’re still going to kick it, ‘cause that’s part of me too.”

Rye seemed to confirm speculation that the two were a couple during the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. They rocked the red carpet together and Rye wrote a sentimental post after Common won an award for his song Letter to the Free. It was a part of the soundtrack for director Ava DuVernay’s Netflix documentary 13th.
“Super proud of this guy for having a big #EGO, which is not to be confused with a big ego,” she wrote. “Here he is giving thanks to the Almighty for his Emmy just like he does for taking every breath, every single day.”
