When details about Matt Lauer’s termination and alleged sexual assault allegations became public, NBC claimed it never heard of Lauer being accused of acting inappropriately for 25 years he worked there.

However, the receipts for Lauer’s casual and sexually charged behavior on and off the air are miles long.

Matt Lauer's Strange Behavior 

In a resurfaced clip from 2009, Lauer spoke to Sandra Bullock several times about how her body looked despite interviewing her about The Proposal, the movie she was promoting at that time.

“The major thing that’s changed since I’ve seen you last: I have seen you naked,” Lauer said to open the interview. Bullock responded wittily by telling the journalist she’s sorry he had to witness how she looked without clothes. “Were you able to sleep afterward?” she asked.

During the segment, Lauer had his phone present and kept looking down at it. When Bullock asked why he was looking at the phone during their interview, Lauer told her he had a naked photo of her as his screensaver. “You’re naked for most of this movie,” he told her afterward.

Bullock Responds To Lauer's Unsavory Comments 

When Bullock realized Lauer would not stop talking about her body, she became defensive and uncomfortable. Despite this, Lauer continued to mention Bullock’s body for the umpteenth time even as he was closing the interview.

“Did I mention you have a nude scene in this movie?” Lauer said with a grin. Bullock smartly replied that he’s been speaking about her body since the beginning of the interview.

Lauer then told Bullock she should come back to be interviewed by him more often. “No, not after this interview, no,” Bullock said.

Lauer's Co-workers Reveal All

As previously reported, Lauer’s former co-host Katie Couric admitted in 2012 on Watch What Happens Live! that Lauer would pinch her buttocks regularly when they worked together.

There is also footage of Lauer telling former colleague Meredith Vieira to bend over in front of him. “Keep bending over like that. It’s a nice view,” he said.

In 2016, Vieira had Lauer and Savannah Guthrie (Lauer's las co-host on the Today show) on her The Meredith Vieira Show. Vieira revealed during their conversation that she found a bag of sex toys in Lauer’s office closet. Lauer became uncomfortable when Vieira mentioned this.

“We had a guest on the show who was a ― what was she ― a sex therapist, and so when she left… she gave each of us a shopping bag of stuff,” he explained for having the odd objects at his workplace.

Unfortunately, Guthrie didn’t come to his defense to confirm his explanation. Vieira said she didn't remember a sex therapist segment while working at NBC and never received a bag of sex toys either.
