Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber recently rekindled their years-long romance and during an appearance at Billboard magazine's Women in Music event, she addressed the issue.

While walking the red carpet at the event, Gomez was asked about her romance with Bieber and shockingly revealed that she is unaware of the attention that her romance has been getting in the weeks since she and Bieber were first seen back together.

“I mean I don’t think anybody truly, actually cares," Gomez told the magazine, according to a report by Hollywood Life on Dec. 2. "I think for me what’s been great is that I’ve been able to live the life that I’ve wanted for myself. And that doesn’t always look the way people maybe think it should look, but it’s not really my concern anymore.”

Gomez and Bieber used to have a drama-plagued, on-and-off romance with one another. In August of last year, the couple came to blows over cheating allegations on Instagram. As fans may recall, Gomez called out Bieber for cheating on her numerous times throughout their relationship while he suggested she had betrayed him by hooking up with Zayn Malik. Now, however, Gomez appears to feel that she and Bieber have grown and matured and are better equipped to take on a committed romance with one another.

“I’m 25. I’m not 18, or 19, or 20. I cherish people who have really impacted my life," she explained. "So maybe before, it could have been forcing something that wasn’t right. But that doesn’t mean caring for someone ever goes away.”

Gomez and Bieber first sparked rumors of a romance in late October after he was seen making his way into her Studio City home. A short time later, her split from her former boyfriend of 10 months, The Weeknd, was confirmed.

Gomez and The Weeknd went public with their romance in January of this year as they took a stroll in Santa Monica, Calif. following a dinner date at Giorgio Baldi restaurant.

Gomez and Bieber didn't spend the holidays together but after Gomez traveled to Texas and Bieber visited Canada, they reunited with one another in Los Angeles for a dinner date and church service in the area. Ironically, Bieber's rumored ex-girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian, was also present during the service.
