The drama on The Real Housewives of Atlanta is going strong this season.

However, one familiar face that is missing is former costar Phaedra Parks and it’s safe to say if it’s up to her, she won’t be coming back to the Bravo reality show.

Phaedra Parks Is Happy Without 'RHOA'

TMZ caught up with Parks and she revealed why she is relieved she’s no longer on the show full of tension and drama. She also confessed the show was bad for her physically.

“I have no desire to,” said Parks when asked if she would ever return to the series. “I’ve turned the page. I love being happy. I love being drama free.”

Interestingly enough, it didn’t take Parks long to move on after she was allegedly fired from the show back in May. Since then, she has signed with the prestigious modeling agency, Wilhelmina Models.

Parks added that being off the show has been better for her two sons, Dylan and Ayden, who had been on the show since they were born. Parks was pregnant with Ayden when she first joined the show in Season 3.

She and her then-husband Apollo Nida also welcomed Dylan a couple of years after. Her and Nida’s life had been documented on the show, including Nida’s legal trouble. He pleaded guilty to fraud charges and is currently serving an 8-year sentence. Parks filed for divorce amid all of the drama.

Parks went on to say that being on the show physically made her sick multiple times.

“It’s a lot to deal with,” she said. “Any woman that does reality TV, they should be congratulated. It’s a lot to it. People don’t really understand until they’ve done it.”

Why Is She Off The Show?

She ended the interview by saying “God delivered” her from the show and the drama that comes along with it. Parks was said to be fired after she stirred up the drama with her former reality TV BFF and costar, Kandi Burruss. Apparently, none of the co-stars wanted to tape scenes with Parks.

Porsha Williams had confronted Burruss with rumors she had heard that Burruss wanted to date rape her. That conversation was the spark that led to endless drama the entire season.

When Burruss got legal and hit Williams with a cease-and-desist as she denied rumors, Williams revealed it was Parks who told her the news, to begin with. That has since put a strain on Parks and Williams’ once close friendship as well. It’s safe to say the remaining ladies aren’t being too kind to Williams in Parks’ absence this season.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Bravo Sundays at 8 p.m. eastern time or 7 p.m. central. Be sure to keep up with Enstars for the latest.
