It's been 10 months since Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston got engaged and since a wedding date has yet to be announced, sources are now saying it may never happen.

The couple reportedly told friends that they were "happier before they got engaged," VH1's The Gossip Table reported on Tuesday.

In Touch Weekly's Contributing Senior News Editor Noah Levy was also a part of The Gossip Table on Tuesday and he said it's both Theroux and Aniston who want to slow things down. He also mentioned the fact that Theroux never married his ex-girlfriend Heidi Bivens, who is a costume designer. The two were together for about 17 years, he noted.

Concerns were first raised when People reported on June 12 that the stars put their wedding on hold. A source reportedly told the magazine that while the wedding was in full swing a few months ago, the plans have been stalled.

"Wedding bands were designed and Jen was deciding on a dress," the source said. The actress also reportedly was thinking that spring would be the best time to tie the knot.

Work commitments are reportedly the reasons why the wedding was put on hold. Enstars previously reported that Theroux, 41, is set to star in HBO's drama pilot The LeftoversAniston's fiancé will play the lead character Kevin Garvey. As the town's chief of police and a father of two, his character is trying to keep the normalcy in the neighborhood that is about to steer off course.

The couple is also busy settling into their new home. Their Los Angeles mansion was reportedly bought for $21 million in 2012 and it has four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It even includes a chicken coup constructed by the previous owner. Read all about the new home here.
