David Foster and Katharine McPhee may get married after all.

Weeks ago, a source claimed the four-times married Foster was not thinking about tying the knot for a fifth time and noted that McPhee was not interested in the idea either. Now, however, a new report claims Foster is ready to wed — and ready to have his potential future bride sign a prenuptial agreement to protect his $36 million.

“David’s insisting on a prenup,” a source revealed to Life & Style magazine, according to a report by All About the Real Housewives on Jan. 17. “He simply sees it as a necessary part of any marriage.”

Foster has been married four times, with his most recent marriage to Yolanda Hadid, previously of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, ending in December 2015. As fans of the Bravo TV series may recall, Foster's marriage to the former model was seen throughout her four-season run on the show, and during her final season of the show, the couple chose to announce their split on the same day as the premiere episode.

While the magazine source told Life & Style it was Foster, 68, who wanted his much younger girlfriend to sign a prenuptial agreement, a rep for McPhee claimed it would actually be the 33-year-old singer who would ask her producer boyfriend to sign a prenup prior to a future wedding.

Just weeks ago, another source told a very different story about Foster and McPhee's future.

"David has not shown any interest in getting married again. He hasn't discounted how he feels about Katherine but there are no plans for them to even get engaged anytime soon," a source explained to E! News earlier this month.

Although the E! News source suggested marriage was not something Foster and McPhee were interested in, the source said the couple was quite happy with each other and enjoying their time together.

Foster first stepped out with McPhee in May of last year, but for months, the couple denied they were romantically involved. Then after they began to heat up in September by attending a number of events together, they were caught kissing each other.

Prior to her relationship with Foster, McPhee was married for eight years to Nick Cokas.

From his four marriages, Foster has eight children: five daughters and three sons. He's also the grandfather of seven grandchildren.
