Wendy Williams and The View co-hosts have picked a side in the Jane Fonda-Megyn Kelly public feud.

A Lesson From Wendy

The one hot topic that was featured on both The Wendy Williams Show and The View was one of the year's hottest feuds.

Wendy Williams talked about the feud with her "co-hosts," the studio audience, during the Jan. 23 taping of her talk show. Williams was firmly convinced that Kelly got into her duel with the 9 to 5 actress because of Kelly's rumored abysmal ratings. The Emmy-nominated talk show host and radio veteran continued saying that Kelly lost her credibility when she revealed her clapback.

Williams pointed out the new talk show host was still walking on eggshells. She also took Kelly to task for pointing out the entertainment icon's cosmetic procedures during her first meeting with Fonda.

The View Sides With Jane

The View co-hosts also expressed their displeasure with Kelly during a segment on their Jan. 23 episode. Show moderator Whoopi Goldberg reminded Kelly that she had no business lecturing the Academy Award-winning actress about what is offensive. Veteran co-host Joy Behar stated that Kelly should not have tied in Fonda's Vietnam War antics into a conversation about plastic surgery.

New co-host (and former FOX News contributor) Meghan McCain talked about why former Vietnam War POWs were unhappy with Fonda. McCain also stated that she did not find Kelly's rebuttal attractive and that the former FOX News personality was way off-topic. Co-host Sunny Hostin admitted that she was shocked that she saw a journalist (Kelly) retaliate against an actress.

Television journalist Ann Curry, who served as the show's guest co-host, stated that Kelly should have shown more empathy and shined a light on other stories. The former Today co-anchor also added that it would be up to the viewers to decide if they would continue to accept Kelly's reporting and presentation style.

Kelly's Bad Decisions

The bad blood between Kelly and Fonda started when the On Golden Pond actress appeared on an early episode of Megyn Kelly Today with Robert Redford. The duo promoted their film, Our Souls at Night, when Kelly asked the silver screen legend about having plastic surgery and the film star scoffed at the question.

When Fonda returned to Today with longtime friend Lily Tomlin to promote their Netflix series, Grace and Frankie, she called out the incident with the anchor team of Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, who openly laughed at the commentary.

On the Jan. 22 episode of Megyn Kelly Today, the host defended herself and expressed that she had no regrets regarding the question. Kelly also openly attacked Fonda and criticized her involvement in protesting the Vietnam War.

Kelly has also received flak from viewers regarding her fat-shaming comments and high profile controversial interview with Alex Jones.

The producers decided to air a pre-taped episode of Megyn Kelly Today for Jan. 23. Kelly is expected to take a brief hiatus during the 2018 Winter Olympics. Kathie Lee Gifford and guest Jenna Bush Hager are supposed to tape their show in the Megyn Kelly Today studio.
