The trailer for Jobs was released on Friday, starring Ashton Kutcher as Apple founder Steve Jobs.

Jobs chronicles the life of the Apple creator, from his early college days to becoming one of the premier innovators in the world. The trailer shows Jobs in a garage with co-founder Steve Wozniak (played by Josh Gad), where some of Apple's first software was developed.

Wozniak shows Jobs a "computer terminal that hooks up to the TV through the display," as Jobs looks on in wonder.

As Jobs gets to the corporate level, he faces issues from those around him. An employee tells him, "typeface isn't a pressing issue," to which Jobs replies "Get out!" Apple's minimalist design and simple yet sleek typeface would eventually make the company famous (there's even a Wikipedia page about it).

In the trailer's narration, Jobs says, "In life, you only get to do so many things. We're gonna make Apple cool again." The trailer shows various scenes of Jobs ecstastic, furious or contemplative, giving Kutcher a huge range of emotion to deliver.

"The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do," Jobs says pensively. The trailer ends with Jobs showing off the iPod as "Jobs" flashes across the screen.

Early reviews for the film have been mixed, though many critics have praised Kutcher's performance. A critic at IndieWire said that the film "can't get a handle on how to portray its subject," but said that it was Kutcher's most impressive performance in years.

A clip from the film was released in January, showing Jobs and Wozniak interacting, but the real-life Wozniak wasn't impressed.

"Our relationship was so different than what was portrayed," he said, "I'm embarrassed, but if the movie is fun and entertaining, all the better. Anyone who reads my book iWoz can get a clearer picture."

Jobs is scheduled to come out in theaters in August 16.
