Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are not engaged, despite wedding rumors that swirled after the birth of baby North West.

Reports indicated that days after the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star gave birth to the couple's baby girl on Saturday, West proposed. The Sun newspaper also noted that at the time of the supposed proposal, the Yeezus rapper did not have an engagement ring for Kardashian but reportedly already paid $700,000 on a rare black and tiger-stripe diamond rock.

Despite the reports, a source tell EnStars that "marriage is in their near future," but West, 36, hasn't popped the question yet.

Kardashian, 32, who recently divorced ex-husband, Kris Humphries, 28, in June told Cosmopolitan magazine in April that although she has thought about marriage with West, but is in in no rush to walk down the aisle.

"I saw fast marriages like Khloe and Lamar's and that was what seemed to work. [Now] I say give it a good six months before you commit. Feelings change, even if it seems so lustful," Kardashian said.

The reality star also told Cosmo that she and West are just enjoying their relationship without any pressures.

"Sometimes you're just not ready," she said. "A person could have it all, and you're not ready for it all. But this is where I probably always should have been...[marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don't have this sense of urgency about it. I have this best friend who understands me and helps me through all my tough experiences, and vice versa, you know? It just feels like this is it for me."

Meanwhile, mom, Kris Jenner even told The Hollywood Reporter that when her daughter decides to remarry, the wedding will be more low-key.

"This time it will be private and smaller, if she does get married again - not 500 people," the 57-year-old reality mom said.
