Most 7-year-old kids think about playing, crushes, or school. But for Demi Lovato, she admits she thought of taking her own life at that age.

The singer's struggles against a couple of problems had been an open book. Lovato has had problems on alcoholism, eating disorders, and drug abuse, and she had not kept the public uninformed of these.

However, her recent interview with Dr. Phil showed just how early the thought of suicide came into her mind. The 25-year-old revealed she had a "fascination with death," and thought to herself back then that her demise would ultimately take away her pain.

"I have experienced things that I've not talked about and that I don't know if I ever will talk about. But at 7, I knew that if I were to take my own life that the pain would end," Lovato shared.

Her thoughts on suicide came back a couple of times, including when she was bullied. The songstress also admitted how her mom feared for her life, knowing that the Camp Rock actress might not see light the next day because of her suicidal tendencies.

Suicide also stemmed from the sadness that enveloped her after failing to deal with his father's leaving their family. Indeed, Lovato had been vocal with how this affected her. His father, Patrick, died in 2013, and suffered from alcohol and substance abuse.

But now that she finally understands where her dad came from, Lovato stressed she now sees how her dad did not really mean to abandon her. She further added she is now able to look at what happened in a bigger picture.

Current Problem

As of now, Lovato admitted she has one demon left to conquer: her eating disorder. She noted that she has to deal with this problem every day but the "Sorry Not Sorry" actress reveals she is "growing every day."

"I feel like I've conquered my addiction and alcoholism, where I don't even think about it anymore. But my struggles with my food issues are something that I still deal with," Lovato said.

However, Lovatics should rejoice with the actress as she recently celebrated a milestone: six years of being sober. She revealed this in her Brooklyn concert when she cried and told fans about how six years ago she was chugging vodka from a Sprite bottle in the morning, the moment she finally woke up.
