Paula Patton is clearing up speculation that her new boyfriend is married to another woman. She made it clear he’s separated and heading toward divorce.

Paula Gets Candid

Patton went public with her relationship with Zach Quittman earlier this month. Shortly after, news hit that Quittman is still married to his wife. While her identity has not been revealed to the public, it’s safe to say Patton was given the side eye for dating a married man. Now, she has broken her silence about it and said that he is legally separated.

“When I met him, he was separated from his wife and he’s in the process of divorce,” said Patton during an interview with Hello Beautiful. “They’re still married as that happens.”

She added that Quittman informed his wife about his relationship with her, and she has also told her now ex-husband, singer Robin Thicke. Patton and Thicke have a child together but despite their divorce, they still communicate. She said this is her first serious relationship since her divorce with Thicke. Patton went on to insist that Quittman told his wife they were dating before anyone else could know, including blogs and the media.

“For me, when you’re living in truth and integrity… I don’t care what anyone else thinks,” added Patton. “I know that we did right.”

She went on to say that she doesn’t think it’s wrong for her to date a man who is legally married, despite being married one day herself. She insisted that not only is Quittman separated from his wife, they have also already broken up when Patton started dating him.

“He didn’t leave her for me,” said Patton. “I would never go into anyone else’s marriage and disrupt it in a million, trillion years. This man was already living in a different home.”

Zachary Spoke Out, Too

Quittman also spoke out about being married just after it hit headlines that he has a wife. He reiterated that he and his wife were already apart when he first met Patton.

Quittman and Patton’s comments come after an insider claimed Quittman was still married and living at home with his wife. The source said Quittman’s estranged wife was shocked that he was dating Patton but didn’t want to cause too much drama because she and Quittman have children together. The source also stated the woman had plans to file for divorce after Quittman’s relationship with Patton went public.
