Lisa Vanderpump is reeling following the shocking death of her brother, Mark. He was just 59 years old and leaves behind two sons.

A Suspected Overdose

It was first reported that the body of Mark Vanderpump was found at his home in Gloucestershire, England, on April 30. Drug overdose is suspected to be the cause of death, but it is not yet known whether it was intentional or not.

Lisa Vanderpump, 57, confirmed her older brother had passed away in a statement. She revealed that the last time she spoke to him was on April 29, just one day before he was found dead.

"This has come as a shock to us all. My brother and I had connected the day before this tragedy and I was completely unprepared for this," it read.

The reality star and restaurateur also expressed her sadness at the sudden and tragic event and her commitment to helping his children through it.

"He was my only sibling and I am shocked and saddened by his passing. I am trying to be supportive to his two young sons that he has left behind, and help them get through this tragedy," added Vanderpump.

Staying Offline

She has not posted anything on social media since April 30, which chimes with the sad passing. The Vanderpump Rules star was reportedly heading to the U.K. for the funeral.

Her last tweet was on the night of the season 6 finale of the spin-off show, writing simply to wish followers goodnight before she, presumably, went to bed.

Mark Vanderpump, a prominent DJ in the U.K., was no stranger to reality TV, having featured on British reality show Gold Diggers and Proud.

Super Close Siblings

He often visited Villa Rosa, the palatial Beverly Hills estate his sister shares with husband Ken Todd and a whole menagerie of animals. He also went with Lisa on vacation on several occasions.

He posted several photos with Lisa over the years, tweeting back in 2015 about her restaurant PUMP.

"Here with my gorgeous sister @LisaVanderpump celebrating her successes @pumprestaurant love you," he wrote at the time, alongside a photo of them.

In recent years, though, he was struggling, according to several outlets, reportedly following the divorce from his wife of 20 years. The couple had two sons.

Lisa Vanderpump rose to fame thanks to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which she joined in 2010. Its spinoff show, Vanderpump Rules, focuses on the messy personal lives of employees at one of Vanderpump's L.A. restaurants, SUR.

Although Vanderpump and Todd are reality TV figures, they keep their personal lives strictly private, with her brother barely mentioned on Real Housewives, if at all.
