While other celebrities rush to shed their baby weight, Kristen Bell isn't making that her priority.

"I refused to worry about something I could not change, and I still refuse," she told Redbook magazine as September's cover girl.

Bell has even joked about the baby weight she gained during her pregnancy. In a radio interview with CBS Detroit's Stoney and Bill in December 2012, she defined herself as "quite a bit overweight" and joked that she weighed "about 367 pounds."

"I had to surrender to not worrying about the way I looked, how much I weighed, because that's just part of the journey of having a baby," she also told Redbook. "I am not a woman whose self-worth comes from her dress size."

The Veronica Mars actress also said that she doesn't want motherhood to slow down her career.

"I still want a career. Lincoln will always be number one, but I think if you can cut that cord of obsessiveness, then you can work and be a good mother and wife," she said.

Still, she admits that during long work days she misses her little girl.

"I can't look at her pictures today, because it hurts my feelings. I start wondering what she's thinking, like where's the girl with the blonde hair and the boobs?" she joked.

Bell and her fiancé, actor Dax Shepard, welcomed their baby girl in March. The pair began dating in 2007 and announced their engagement in 2010. Bell and Shepard publicly stated that they would not get married until gay marriage is legal. With the Supreme Court's decision to curtail the Defense of Marriage Act in June, they could now tie the knot.

"On the day that it passed, I called him and I said 'Hey, do you want to do it today, just out of principle and just go to the courthouse?" she recalled on Monday on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

But, Shepard's work obligations didn't allow the two to get married that day, she added.
