Marc Anthony Defends Jennifer Lopez From New Alex Rodriguez Report

Marc Anthony responded to a story that Alex Rodriguez "believes" Jennifer Lopez "may miss what they had together," a year after their relationship ended and now that she's in the loving arms of Ben Affleck. It's a report worth scoffing at, but Marc Anthony took it to another level by sharing it.- and laughing at it.
Jennifer Lopez and her ex-boyfriend Alex Rodriguez may be pining for each other based on a report, but Marc Anthony, 53, is certainly one of the non-believers.
Instead, he appears amused by the prospect. J.Lo's ex-husband sent a series of laughing emojis in reaction to a Us Weekly claim suggesting that the former New York Yankees player "believes" the 52-year-old Marry Me star "may miss what they had together," despite the fact that she's clearly moved on with on-again lover, Ben Affleck.
"He believes Jen might start to miss what they had together, but she's ready to put him in her rearview mirror," the quote that Marc Anthony included in the post about the report read.
The emoticons Marc used to answer to the news showed that he didn't take it seriously, and once his response was posted, social media users took advantage of the chance to comment with their ideas. Several people commented, "This is hilarious haha," while Marc's reaction was described as "juicy" by another. This shade from Marc Anthony is even greater because of the fact that he's a quiet one." "Marc speaks for us all, and I'm here for it," said a fourth person.

Marc's remark comes after Jennifer has made it plain that she and Ben are as happy as can be.
"It's funny because Ben and I were together, and we were so in love. It was one of the happiest times of my life," Jennifer told Rolling Stone about her previous engagement to Ben, which lasted from 2002 until 2004. "But also, there was this other thing happening where we were being criticized, and it really destroyed our relationship from the inside out, because we were just too young to understand at that time what were really the most important things in life."
Lopez said they have already learned a lot, referring to how their relationship has evolved since then. "We know what's real, what's not real. So it's just - the game has changed."
Before she dated Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez was dating Marc Anthony. The first time Lopez and Anthony met was backstage at Paul Simon's Broadway show, "The Capeman," which Anthony was starring in, according to US Weekly's report on the encounter.
After Lopez's first marriage to Ojani Noa ended in 1998, the two are said to have briefly dated.
The song "No Me Ames" from Lopez's breakthrough 1999 album "On the 6" was written by Anthony and Lopez shortly after.
In 2019, Lopez recalled the sweet process of making music with Anthony, telling Billboard, "I was such a huge fan of his music in Spanish, and I was like, 'Maybe we should do something in Spanish."
"'I just love your music,'" Lopez recalled saying. "He was like, 'Let me think about it.' He left the studio, and literally five minutes after he left, he called and said, 'I have the song for us."
