Wendy Williams' publicist may have released a statement, saying the TV hosts understood why the network is giving Sherri Shepherd her timeslot, but recent reports claim that the former radio presenter thinks otherwise; what are her genuine feelings about the show's transition?

According to an insider who spoke to The Sun, the host, famously known for her catchphrase "how you doin'?" on the show, felt "disrespected" as Shepherd's show was announced through Williams' audience and followers.

The announcement video was also uploaded on "The Wendy Williams Show's" official YouTube channel which has over 2.6 million subscribers.

In addition, the upcoming show was a "total slap in her face" as it was revealed through Williams' platform; the insider revealed it was "bad enough" for the former host's show to be canceled.

Aside from the abovementioned issue, the source also revealed the show was supposed to have a farewell episode where they'll feature some of the best moments throughout its 12 seasons.

However, production reportedly decided not to continue the "final goodbye."

The recent news comes a few days after Williams' publicist, Howard Bragman, issued a statement, saying the host remains grateful to her fans during her absence amid her health condition.

"It's been a challenging time for Wendy as she deals with her health issues. She is incredibly grateful to Debmar-Mercury, to Sherri and everybody else who has supported the show through this time," the representative said. (via People Magazine)

The former radio presenter also understood the "reality of syndicated television" and why Sherri Shepherd is replacing her with a brand new show as the decision was made from a business perspective.

Furthermore, Debmar-Mercury reportedly assured her that she could go back to television once she recovered from her health woes in the future.

However, Williams expressed her true feelings on Instagram, saying she never gave her publicist the go signal to speak on her behalf.

Although she appreciated her concern and was thankful for the support, she never authorized Bragman to make any statements regarding her professional relationship with Debmar-Mercury.

At the time of this writing, Sherri Shepherd has not publicly commented on the matter, but she recently honored the TV host, saying she loves her fearlessness and she wanted to emulate her energy.
