Lorde defended Taylor Swift in 2014 after Diplo made a snide remark about the singer's appearance. This time around, the DJ is revisiting the feud in an interview.

Who could ever forget how everything went down between Diplo, Lorde, and Taylor Swift?

Not Diplo, for sure. Lorde and Taylor Swift were two of his most prominent feuds, which he discussed in a recent interview with Input.

Diplo explained to the magazine how he thinks about social media sharing first. "I don't take it that seriously. When I first started using social media, it was a big joke for me. On Twitter, I was an unabashedly crazy person. And I didn't realize that there was power in those words. I would make fun of other artists, and that really came back to hurt me in the end," he shared. He then suddenly raised the infamous feud.

"Like I had huge beefs with Lorde and Taylor Swift at the time," Diplo continued. "And I thought it was so funny, but you know, people hold you accountable for your Twitter in such a strange way. It's not real life. Sarcasm doesn't come through on social media," he added.

He said it is on Instagram that he can be his goofy and silly self, although he's still learning how to use the platform until now.

Swifties had vivid recollections of the episode. It can be remembered that he tweeted that s omeone should launch a kickstarter for "Taylor Swift's booty" and shared the link to the Fundly website in November of last year. Lorde found that really offensive and while usually a quiet artist who does not engage in these stuff, she didn't waste any time in responding to protect Swift.

"@Diplo," she replied, "should we do something about your tiny penis while we're at it hm," she added.

While Taylor Swift fans lauded her move, Diplo said they misunderstood. He said Lorde was not really dissing him, but just joking around.

Diplo described the situation as "really dumb" in a January 2015 interview with GQ.

"And it's funny, because me and Lorde, we're actually friends, and it was a funny, in-jest conversation," he explained. "So many tabloids used it to make it story, when it was not. Literally, it was such a tongue-in-cheek joke on both sides. I think Taylor Swift is such an impactful character, that it was because she was involved that it became really big."

Lorde on her part really said that Diplo's comment about Swift was stupid and as a friend, she needed to correct him.

"I love Wes and he's a big brother to me and one of my first friends in the industry, and part of having a friendship with someone like that is not letting them say stupid shit," Lorde told FADER about Diplo. Diplo's real name is. Thomas Wesley Pentz.

it's confusing though because in another interview, he really said what happened was a "feud with Taylor Swift."

After Diplo shared a photo of himself with Taylor at the 2015 Grammy Awards, many began to question if the two musicians had truly moved on.

In December of that year, Diplo brought up the subject again in an interview with British GQ Style, and fans saw he described the whole thing as a "feud."

""All I know is, don't ever get into a feud with Taylor Swift," he said at the time. "She has like fifty million people that will die for her. It's like an army that's worse than North Korea. You can't step into that arena. That was something I was never prepared for," he added.

As for Taylor, she hasn't said anything publicly about it. Will she finally do so now?
