It has been 13 years since Britney Spears tricked many around the world play an explative in disguise on public radio.

The year was 2009. Instagram did not exist, and iPhones were only two years old. Britney was not yet free, and talk of her freedom was not yet something that had been brought to the forefront of public discourse. The princess of pop was still coming out with songs. Then she released one that instantly got many people up in arms.

Spears's songs were thought by many to be very scandelous, especially for the early 2000s. However, Hit Me Baby One More Time and Womanizer had nothing on the 2009 release of the song If You Seek Amy. If you are unsure as to why this song sparked scandal, just say the title out loud (preferably not in a room with your parents), and you'll understand why.

For those who couldn't hear it, the title of the song, as pointed out by the news segment above, "If you say it quickly, with no space in between the letters, it basically spells out the F-word and then 'Me.'" If you didn't immediately hear it, you are not alone. The title tricked many, getting it past many radio hosts who played it, uncensored, on public radio.

What was scandelous then is honestly hilariously iconic now! Britney Spears played the best prank public radio has ever seen. (And the song is STILL a bop!)
