Robert Pattison was in "Harry Potter," but it wasn't until "Twilight" that he became a household figure in Hollywood.

Who can forget Edward Cullen, the broody vampire heartthrob?

Later in his career, he appeared in critically praised independent films such as "Good Time" and "The Lighthouse."

Despite having been in a number of films, with one franchise assisting him in reaching the degree of popularity he now enjoys, Robert Pattinson shares the one performance he is most pleased of.

'The Batman,' played by Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson grew up as a "Batman" devotee, dressing up in black throughout his youth.

He told OK magazine that he feels the superhero reflected many aspects of his life, and that in retrospect, he would like to know what his youthful self would think of the film.

Those performers who had previously played roles in his life were a part of his life and the reason he aspired to be an actor in the first place.

"It's really fantastic to be a part of it," the actress continued.

The actor's portrayal of Bruce Wayne and his Dark Knight alter ego, Batman, has grown moodier and more ominous. He also has to deal with Catwoman, played by Zoe Kravitz, who is a burglar who works both sides of the law.

However, in an interview with OK magazine, the 35-year-old confessed that his latest position is one he is quite proud of.

"I think it's so much fun, and it feels distinct and unusual," Pattinson said.

When asked how he chose to present this specific "Batman," he said that it took him a while to grasp that everyone expected the character to be a certain way, but he aimed to exhibit a different form of Bruce Wayne.

"He's not a playboy; he's far more troubled," Pattinson added. "The script was just so strong and simple to understand."

'Twilight' Star Robert Pattinson

It's been more than a decade since "Twilight" debuted in theaters, and the cast and crew have been grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a movie that sparked a Hollywood vampire craze.

But, of all the stars, Robert Pattinson has never shied away from expressing his actual thoughts about his role in the franchise.

He did, however, add that it is not the movies themselves that he dislikes, but the devotion that surrounds them, since it has had a significant impact on his life.

He told USA Today in 2019 that the franchise's popularity turned him off.

Pattinson confessed, "I think the only scary part was right in the thick of it all when it was very intense."

"Now the intensity has died down, and it's just very warm memories."
