Channing Tatum transformed his look for his role in the upcoming thriller Jupiter Ascending into his character as a picture posted on Us Weekly shows him with a totally new look.

The actor was spotted on Wednesday wearing a black hoodie with newly bleached blonde hair, a matching goatee and elf ears. The picture was taken on the Joliet, III. set where the cast is filming. See the photo HERE.

"I'm a splice, splices are essentially built in a test tube. I'm a hybrid wolf and human. And half albino, so I'm a little defective," the actor said in an interview with Collider.

Movie website CinemaBlend.com reported that Tatum plays a "genetically engineered bounty hunter" named Caine, who has been hired by the Queen of the Universe to track down Jupiter Jones. Mila Kunis plays Jupiter Jones and is described as a "lowly Russian maid" who poses as a threat to the Queen's throne. The sci-fi film centers around an "alternative universe" where traveling from planet to planet is a reality and humans are the lowest level on the evolutionary chain.

Directed by the duo famous for the Matrix franchise, Andy and Lana Wachowski, Jupiter Ascending also stars Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Romeo and Juliet's Douglas Booth and Terry Gilliam. The film is expected to hit theaters July 2014.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum Post-Baby Body on Set of 'Witches of East End'

While the 33-year-old actor is in Illinois, his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, is in Vancouver filming Lifetime's upcoming drama series Witches of East End. Tatum was spotted visiting his wife on set in July. The couple, who have been married for four years, welcomed daughter Everly the end of May.

"It's hard. It definitely is a challenge," the actress said about balancing motherhood and acting. "I'm finding I'm getting more in the flow of things now."
