Fans are unlikely to see much of Will Smith these days after his controversial Oscars move last week.

The embattled celebrity is reportedly planning to unwind at a luxury retreat in order to recover from the stress caused by the backlash over his slapping of Chris Rock in the face.

It comes on the heels of the 53-year-old Best Actor winner resigning from the Academy and delivering a public apology, sparking doubts about whether he is fearful of losing the award.

Will's resignation letter said that his acts were "shocking, hurtful, and unacceptable."

Meanwhile, the Academy has accepted the actor's resignation and is apparently considering disciplining him.

Last Sunday, the "Men In Black" actor punched Chris for making a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who has a shaved head owing to alopecia.

According to a source who talked to The Sun, Will Smith is so affected by the response that he is apparently seeking counseling to cope with the burden.

According to the source, the current situation is "unquestionably the most difficult battle of his career."

"It will be a high-end retreat frequented by the wealthy and famous, and he will be doing a great deal of soul searching and figuring out how to go ahead."

According to reports, Willow and Jaden Smith's father wishes that the talk and what he did would be forgotten quickly so that he could return and reclaim his job and reputation.

Another piece of bad news is that Will is presently being considered for a role in "Bad Boys 4," a new film expected to debut almost 30 years after the original launched his largest franchise.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that a production schedule was negotiated after Chris Bremner's 40-page draft. However, after Will's Oscars performance, the film has been placed on hold.

According to the publication, his second Netflix project, "Fast and Loose," has similarly been sent to the "back burner."

The franchise's third chapter, "Bad Boys For Life," was released in January 2020. It was a big office smash, grossing $426 million worldwide.
