Many royal experts beleive that just because Prince Harry left the United Kingdom to live in the United States, he must no longer care about Queen Elizabeth II. They could not be more wrong.

In truth, he is still ensuring the monarch's well-being, per Page Six.

"I'm just making sure she's safe and has the appropriate people around her," the Duke of Sussex said in a preview interview from his "Today" sit-down with Hoda Kotb.

The interview, which was released Wednesday, was conducted during the 2022 Invictus Games, which he attended with his wife Meghan Markle before meeting with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles, marking their first reunion in over two years.

"Being with her, it was fantastic," he said of their personal rendezvous. I mean, it was just so good to see her."

The monarch, who turns 96 on Thursday, prompted anxiety two months ago when she tested positive for COVID.

She has avoided public appearances since then, including last weekend's Easter celebrations.

But, according to Prince Harry, there's no need to be concerned because his grandma is "doing well" and was in good spirits during their brief conversation.

"She's in wonderful form, and she's always had a great sense of humour with me," the father of Lilibet Diana and Archie Harrison said, smiling when Hoda pointed out that the Queen thinks Prince Harry always makes her laugh.

When asked if he had made his grandmother laugh again, the Duke of Sussex said yes.

He and his wife also had tea with her and that it was nice catching up with her.

"It was wonderful to see her. If she could, I'm sure she'd want to be here (at the Invictus Games)."

Despite their disagreements with the British royal family, the 37-year-old Duke and his 40-year-old former "Suits" actress wife relocated to the United States in March 2020 and formally retired from their royal responsibilities in 2021.

They bought a mansion in Santa Barbara and moved in with their two children.

Prince Harry also declared that his home is no longer in the United Kingdom, but in the United States.

He expresses how good it feels to be up there and how they have been welcomed "with open arms."

"And Santa Barbara has such a wonderful community."
