'He's Lucky To Be Alive:' Jensen Ackles Shocked Jared Padalecki Is Not In Hospital Following Horrific Car Accident

Jared Padalecki has thankfully let the world know that he is, "on the mend," following his horrific car accident.

The current star of Walker, Jared Padalecki, was recently in a horrific car accident that left many worried about whether or not the actor would survive. His former co-star in the hit series Supernatural, Jensen Ackles, shared the news with many.

  According to an article on Deadline, Ackles acknowleged a terrifying truth:

"He's lucky to be alive."

Ackles shared the news, with Padalecki's permission.

"He's home recovering, which...the fact that he's not in a hospital right now is blowing my mind, because I saw the car."

Ackles assured fans that were gathered at the Supernatural fan event that Padalecki was home recovering.

He was not driving the car, but was sitting in the passenger seat. While it is not known exactly what happened to the car or what caused the car accident, we have been assured that the accident left the car totaled, and many deeply concerned for the actor's health. 

Ackles shared the news about Padalecki on Saturday night. While Padalecki did not comment at first regarding the accedent, the well-loved actor took to social media to assure everyone that he is healing. The post read:

"Hey y'all! I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love. I'm definitely on the mend and hoping to return to filming later this week. I'm so lucky to have had the best care and be surrounded by people who love me. So grateful for everyone."
