Fans may not see much of Andrew Garfield for a time.

Following a rigorous year of appearing in big and high-profile films, the 38-year-old actor apparently wishes to take a break from performing.

Garfield appeared in "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in 2021 and was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in "Tick, Tick... Boom!"

Garfield revealed in a Variety interview published on Wednesday that he needed to "recalibrate and reconsider" what he wanted to accomplish next in his life and career.

Most importantly, Andrew Garfield want to "be a bit of a human" when he is not in the spotlight.

Garfield admitted that the awards season made him feel like a nonstop "washing machine," implying that he needed some downtime and hibernating thereafter.

"I need just to be a bit ordinary for a while."

In an earlier interview with the journal, Andrew Garfield stated that he will not be repeating his role as "Spider-Man."

However, the Hollywood celebrity is still quite busy, despite the fact that he appears to be in high demand.

He is rumored to be in talks for a starring part in the forthcoming BBC miniseries "Brideshead Revisited," alongside Joe Alwyn, Cate Blanchet, and Ralph Fiennes.

However, the series' director, Luca Guadagnino, confirmed last week that the project has been "shelved."

Garfield will also appear in the new FX series "Under the Banner of Heaven," which will debut today on Hulu. It is based on Jon Krakauer's 2003 book of the same name.

In the series, he will portray Mormon investigator Jeb Pyre, who will be investigating. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints perpetrated a double homicide.

He challenges his religion during his research after realizing that the deaths are linked to his church.

Dustin Lance Black wrote the screenplay for "Under the Banner of Heaven," which was directed by David McKenzie.

Andrew Garfield also discussed taking breaks from the show's tough subject matter while filming.

He said, "I think it was actually a necessity for us to have game nights and go into nature and hike and you know, swim and dive and lakes and dance and eat good food so that we could really come back and fully give ourselves [to the work]. We had to keep on taking care of ourselves so that we could take care of the story."
