Rachel McAdams is a multi-talented chameleon of an actor who can do absolutely anything at any time.

People have lauded her talent for years, gobsmacked at the fact that she was Regina George in Mean Girls and Allie Hamilton in The Notebook in the same year. Her mutli-tasking excellence did not stop there, and the talented swiss-army-knife performer is in the currently running Doctor Strange and is making a sharp turn to appear in Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret.

The actress was interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter about her upcoming role in the film adaptation of the Judy Blume novel Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret - Fifty years after the novel was first penned, McAdams is bringing the role of Barbara to life.

The star transforms into her characters, coming to understand them on a deep and personal level. When asked about what she was drawn to in the part of Barbara, the sensation replied:

[She] is a very supportive mother but also wants to give her child a sense of independence and autonomy and let her go through the wonders of life herself and not cloud those too much with her own ideas of how you should and should not be. It was heartbreaking to me that she worked really hard to not burden her child with her own past, yet it's such a part of who she is. But there's no way it wasn't going to come up. It is just a real cacophony of honest, truthful things women and mothers experience on a whole.

McAdams's character in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, however, is a different scenario entirely. She is returning to play Dr. Christine Palmer, Doctor Strange's former love interest.

This super-power filled, high action film is definitely a different scene for the actor than the Judy Blume novel. A different kind of intrigue surrounds her role in Dr. Strange: For starters, right now, people are asking - will she really be there?

As McAdams's character was present in early trailers, fans assumed she would be there without question. In the most recent trailers, however, it seems she has been erased entirely from scenes where she was once indisputably present.

We will have to wait until May 6th when the film is released to find out what this late-stage editing means.

Overall, Rachel McAdams is a superstar who can play every role anyone throws at her, and whatever she appears in next, we cannot wait to see it.
