Amber Heard is a survivor of domestic abuse by Johnny Depp, a forensic psychologist and the actress' first witness, Dr. Dawn Hughes, testified.

Dr. Hughes, a New York-based clinical and forensic psychologist, shared her statement on Tuesday detailing the alleged horrifying experience Heard went through because of Depp.

According to Dr. Hughes, who is also an expert in domestic violence, the "Aquaman" actress suffered from sexual violence, especially when he was drunk.

"Depp was drunk or high he threw her (Heard) on the bed, ripped off her nightgown and tried to have s-x with her," she said, adding, "He forced her to give him oral s-x when he was angry. These weren't loving moments, these were dominant moments."

She also claimed that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor "looked for drugs" inside Heard's private part by sticking his fingers up in the area. A similar incident reportedly occurred when they were in the closet.

Dr. Hughes then recalled the time when Depp beat and choked Heard during alcohol-fueled incidents.

While the psychologist narrated the incidents, Heard was seen containing her emotions.

Aside from those instances, she said that the actress suffered physical abuse, as well - from pushing, shoving, choking, and kicking her. With those, Heard endured bruising, cuts, and pain in her private part due to the sexual assaults.

Why Did Amber Heard Not Leave Johnny Depp Sooner?

Questions about Heard's refusal to leave the relationship emerged, saying she would have left if she was being abused.

But Dr. Hughes explained that women stay in violent relationships due to the vicious cycle that does not allow them to leave.

Per the psychologist, physical abuse roots in slamming and throwing things. Contrition then happens after the violent incident as the abuser tends to apologize and promise not to do it again.

"You're stuck in this vicious cycle of how can I be with this man who hurts me yet I love him so much," she testified. "Anger is a very normal emotion to having been abused. She can also be afraid but they don't have to be mutually exclusive."

This somewhat contradicted what the ex-couple's marriage counselor suggested. For what it's worth, marriage counselor Dr. Laurel Anderson shared details about Depp and Heard's marriage. She once worked with them for 21 sessions in October 2015, and she reportedly witnessed how they were engaged in mutual abuse.

She revealed that Depp and Heard abused each other. The counselor noted that the actor was well-controlled for years but Heard triggered Depp.
