Elizabeth Olsen learned a lot from her older sisters.

Elizabeth Olsen has made quite a mark on the MCU as the Scarlet Witch, AKA Wanda Maximoff, who appears in the new film Dr. Strange In the Multiverse of Madness. Her mid-pandemic hit Disney+ series, WandaVision was a smash success - and the ever humble-actress admitted, in a recent interview with the Independent, her joyful surprise that she keeps getting asked back to do more work in the MCU.

"I only signed on to do a couple movies, so it continues to be a surprise when they want to use me for more projects...I've been confused by how lucky I got with them wanting to make WandaVision."

Olsen largely credits the person she has become and her career to the example set by her older sisters, the well-known child star duo Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Elizabeth, younger sister to the twins, grew up watching her sisters in the limelight. The two hit fame at a far earlier age - while Elizabeth started acting in more independent work at a younger age rather than major blockbusters, her sisters started big and early, starting with the hit family series Full House and garnering a lifetime of Hollywood experience Elizabeth was able to learn from and form her life around.

"I think my sisters are some of the most amazing people to look at, with what they've created for themselves and how they conduct themselves...I'm really in awe of what they've built, and I do think that came from them having such a healthy perspective - and I could only benefit from that healthy perspective. I think it has informed how I conduct myself.

They've had so much advice for me, but most of the stuff, when I was younger, I didn't do 'cause I was like...'I'm going to do it myself! You can't tell me!' And then they were right, and I ended up doing the thing they told me to do. But I had to fail first, on my own."

We can't wait to see Elizabeth Olsen in the new Benedict Cumberbatch led film Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - if early reviews are to be believed, she's a tour de force.
