Love in the Multiverse? Charlize Theron Teases Introduction of Dr. Strange's Love Interest Into the MCU!
Charlize Theron shares some pics getting MCU fans eagerly asking the important questions (and excuse us for our middle-school-IM-tone): Is Docto Strange about to get a girlfriend?
Charlize Theron posted pictures online of her sporting the costume of Clea; another Marvel character we have yet to meet in the MCU. She was included in a few post-credit scenes in the newest box office hit Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Fans are now thinking that this could mean the actress will be playing an even larger role in Doctor Strange plot lines to come.
Clea one of the main love interests of Doctor Strange, who is played by the incredible Benedict Cumberbatch in the films. Unlike his former love Christine - played by Rachel McAdams - she also has powers in her own right.
In an interview on the Deadline podcast Hero Nation, screenwriter Michael Waldron shared:
"We always knew we wanted to introduce Clea, who in the comics is, you could say, the great love of Doctor Strange, but really in a lot of ways his formidable equal as a sorcerer herself.
"But it felt like we had to close the book, to some extent, on his love story with Christine Palmer - the Rachel McAdams character - and so Doctor Strange hears that wisdom from Christine to face his fears and be open to the idea of loving someone.
"And then along comes Clea, and I guess we'll see what happens next between the two of them."
We can't wait to see what epic adventures this new character brings to the MCU.
