Edie Falco is set to play Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson's mother in his new upcoming Peacock series Bupkis.

Bupkis is set to follow a fictionalized version of Davidson's life, with some wild absuridty here and there to give it a cutting comedic edge: Think Curb Your Enthusiasm but make it Kim Kardashian's boyfriend, you know?

While we have known for some time that Davidson will head the series, the rest of the cast has remained a mystery - until now.

Pete Davidson's mom will be played by the four time Emmy Award winning actor Edie Falco, who has been recognized for her exceptional work in shows including The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie. The casting was announced at the NBCUniversal Upfront presentation on May 16th. Falco spoke at the event, excitedly sharing:

"I'm so excited to be playing your mother in this show, Pete...Finally, I get to play an overwhelmed mother of two living in a world of corruption. Except this time, it's Staten Island."

This new television series, especailly the opportunity to work alongside a consumate professional, will no doubt be a thrilling new experience for Davidson. There has been no word on whether or not he will continue in the cast of Saturday Night Live.

Until there is information on that, however, please enjoy this photograph of a sandwich that looks even more like Pete Davidson than Falco:

We're sorry. (Or you're welcome, depending on your tastes.)

We will keep you up to date on any new information surrounding Bupkis that arises.
