Actress Halle Berry took a blow to the head and was "knocked out" while shooting her movie The Call last summer.

Berry is now revealing that she was knocked out cold, after her co-star accidentally slammed her head into concrete.

It was widely reported that the Oscar winner was taken to hospital in Los Angeles after she tripped and hit her head, but now she has come clean about the injury, admitting she ended up in treatment after a fight sequence with Michael Eklund went wrong.

The star, who is currently pregnant with her second child, explained, "The bad guy in the movie accidentally slammed my head into the concrete. He misjudged how far the ground was and he slammed my head into it so I got knocked out."

But Berry showed her professionalism by quickly bouncing back to resume the shoot. She added, "I went to the hospital, came back to work the next day, so it was fine."

Over the weekend, Berry was spotted flaunting her growing baby bump while leaving lunch with pals on Sunday afternoon, August 6, in Brentwood, Calif.

The 46-year-old pregnant actress recently spoke about the challenges of filming X-Men: Days of Future Past with her baby bump.

“My ever-growing belly was posing a constant challenge!” she told Express UK. “What I could do was getting more limited so the role that I play is so different from what it could have been, due to my surprise pregnancy.”

“That kind of colored what my involvement could be, which was why I was one of the first ones in and the first ones out,” Halle added.
