The HBO Max series Hacks has officially been renewed for season three.

The show was a work of excellence that was instantly loved by all who saw it. The series chronicles the unlikely partnership of an famous old-timer comedian, played brilliantly by Jean Smart, as she works with a new up-and-coming comedian-writer, played by the excellent Hannah Einbinder.

Einbinder posted on her Instagram earlier today to celebrate the exciting news. The star posted a screenshot of the Deadline headline:

Hacks is a sneaking mega-hit on its way to massive fame and acclaim - as is frequently the case with excellent shows that find themselves sent straight to streaming services. (Ted Lasso did not find it's main audience until its second season, but look at them now.)

Hacks was nominated for Emmys in numerous categories last season, but very few people had actually seen the show. Now, as the accolades for the exceptional writing and performances grow, the audience for the show does as well.

Everyone is looking forward to the return of this exciting story. The head of HBO Max's Original Content, Sarah Aubrey, shared her excitement in a statement. She said:

"We congratulate Hacks' extraordinarily gifted executive producers and cast, and our partners at Universal Television. We are overjoyed at the audience and press response to the new season, and glad to give viewers more of this gorgeous, hilarious, moving show."

We cannot wait to see what season three of Hacks has in store.
