Moses Ingram, who is enjoying a big career boost after taking on the role of The Third Sister Inquisitor Reva on the hit Disney+ Star Wars prequel series Obi-Wan Kenobi, has just been added to the cast of AppleTV+'s limited series Lady in the Lake, alongside fellow Star Wars star Natalie Portman

After the departure of Lupita Nyong'o back in May, after production had started, Ingram has been brought on to take over for Black Panther actress.

Ingram will be playing the second lead as Cleo Sherwood, who, according to Variety, is a hard-working woman juggling motherhood, many jobs, and a passionate commitment to advancing Baltimore's Black progressive agenda.

The show is an adaptation of the novel by Laura Lippman. Set against the backdrop of 1960s Baltimore, Maddie Schwartz (Natalie Portman) tries to change her life by becoming an investigative journalist, after being inspired by an unsolved murder. Her new job soon causes her to cross paths with Sherwood.

Lady in the Lake also stars Brett Gelman (Stranger Things), Y'Lan Noel (Insecure), and Mikey Madison (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood). The director of 2019's Honey Boy Alma Har'el is also the creator/co-writer. She will also be directing and executive producing the series for the streaming service.

No stranger to taking on roles in high-profile streaming projects, Moses Ingram has also appeared in The Queen's Gambit for Netflix and starred alongside Denzel Washington in the adaptation of Shakespeare;s The Tragedy of Macbeth streaming on Apple.

There is no release date for Lady in the Lake at this time.
