According to Yahoo! The singer's three-year-old daughter was photographed using a pacifier while they were out of town for vacation.
The family went to Lake Austin, Texas, where she spent quality time in a boat with her three children— Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie—and her husband Eric Johnson.

The family of five appeared to have celebrated the Fourth of July weekend last week.
One image caught the attention of some critics, as her daughter can be seen sitting on her father's lap while using a pacifier.
Many followers deem her "too old" to be using a pacifier as it could cause many problems regarding her facial structure.
"Birdies a little old for a binkie don't you think," one commented.

Despite the negative comments she received, Simpson's fans got her back as many defended her in the comment section.

Is It Bad For Children to Use Pacifier?
According to the Mayo Clinic, pacifiers are a good tool for babies at a certain age as it could assist it bedtime, relieve stress and reduce the risk of "sudden infant death syndrome" also known as SIDS.
However, babies should stop using a pacifier when they get a little older because there could be several issues; some children get dependent on the tool despite their age.
The outlet noted that permanent damage is unlikely to happen, especially when a kid still has their baby teeth.
