The trailer for the upcomming A24 film Funny Pages has been released.

A24 is excellent is just about everything they do. Even within the throes of this overall excellence, though, it is no secret that the production company particularly thrives when it comes to a good coming-of-age-story.

From Lady Bird to Eighth Grade, the world knows that, if you want a beautiful tale about growing up, you need look no further than A24. They have so perfected the genre, in fact, that they are able to play with it, bend it, and push the limits of it.

Such looks to be the case with their upcoming film Funny Pages.

Funny Pages is set to be a dark - but hilarious - story chronicling the journey of a young high schooler who wants to become a professional cartoonist. He is unquestionably talented, and undaunted by the world in the way that only a high schooler could be.

However, unlike some gentler coming of age stories, our hero, named Robert, finds himself in seedy locations and strange situations that he takes on boldly.

According to the official IMDb description, the film is "a bitingly funny coming-of-age story of a teenage cartoonist who rejects the comforts of his suburban life in a misguided quest for soul."

It has the makings of a wonderuflly twisted movie. The trailer was officially released earlier today, and in these brief two minutes, we already understand the kind of comedy we are in for. We are HERE for it. 

Funny Pages comes out in late August.
