Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr on Co-parenting: Ex-couple Promised THIS to Each Other
Ex-couple Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr reveal the secret to co-parenting their son, Flynn, amidst their divorce.
Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom first sparked dating rumors back in 2007. Throughout the timeline of their relationship, the couple has made it a point to keep their dating life private, even secretly tying the knot in 2010. However, after three years of marriage, the two announced their separation in October 2013.
Despite their divorce, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor and Victoria's Secret model never fail to make time and share their love for their 11-year-old son, Flynn. In a recent interview with E! News, the 39-year-old supermodel expressed her and Orlando's secret to getting along with each other despite the tragic fallout of their relationship.
"When Orlando and I separated, we made the decision to always put our son first and do what is in his best interest." Miranda explained, "If you can let that be the North Star, then everything else falls into place."

Miranda and Orlando's Promise
In a recent interview with Vogue Australia in July, Miranda opened up about her happiness in co-parenting and attributes it to a promise that she and Orlando made amidst their split in 2013.
"From day one when Orlando and I decided to separate, I said, 'Listen, whatever we do, we have to put Flynn's needs first, not our own.'" Miranda explained to Vogue. "That's the way we make our decisions. Family is my number-one priority, then work, then my company, which is like another baby, and then, unfortunately, my friends, but it's not going to be like that forever."
Ex-Couple Evidently In Good Terms
Among the two, Miranda has been very vocal about the good co-parenting relationship the ex-couple maintained throughout the years, but Orlando also makes a point to show his appreciation for Miranda in his own way.
In a 2017 Instagram post, the "Lord of the Rings" actor dedicated a mother's day post to Miranda, featuring a heartfelt story of their son hugging a billboard of his mother. In his caption, Orlando calls Miranda a "wonderful mother" and "great friend".
Orlando Bloom announced his engagement to singer Katy Perry and share their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom. Meanwhile, Miranda Kerr has been married to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel since 2017.
