Ashton Kutcher addresses the untalked comparison between "No Strings Attached" and this film released during the same year.

Released in January 2011, "No Strings Attached" is a romantic comedy film starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. The film was directed by Ivan Reitman and written by Elizabeth Meriwether.

In a recent episode of "Our Future Selves with Ashton Kutcher", Natalie Portman makes a guest appearance and reunites with host Ashton Kutcher in a Peloton workout interview. The 44-year-old actor recalls their first encounter when they filmed "No Strings Attached".

"I think the first time we really started hanging out is when we shot 'No Strings together'" Kutcher stated, to which co-star Portman added, "Who would've thought 20 years later, we'd be on a Peloton together?"

'No Strings Attached' Similar to This Film?

However, in an excerpt of the interview on a viral TikTok, Kutcher noted that their 2011 film, "No Strings Attached" was very similar to "Friends with Benefits", which was released during the same year. Fans took to the comments section to express their shared sentiments, stating that the two titles were "basically the same movie".

"Wait, it's also weird because my wife was shooting basically the same movie, called 'Friends With Benefits'." Kutcher revealed, referring to his wife, Mila Kunis. The two started dating in 2012 and, later on, got married on July 2015.

"Friends with Benefits", directed by Will Gluck, is a romantic comedy film starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. The film was released on September 28, 2011. The film also stars supporting roles by Patricia Clarkson, Jenna Elfman, Bryan Greenberg, Nolan Gould, Richard Jenkins, and Woody Harrelson.

Both films explore two friends who decide to have sex with each other and create a platonic arrangement, to which they, later on, realize that they may have caught feelings for each other.

Natalia Portman, during the Peloton workout, also noted that she had just finished filming "Black Swan" together in 2010 with "Friends with Benefits" star Mila Kunis, to which Portman joked that they "were all making out with each other".

Notably, "No Strings Attached" and "Friends with Benefits" earned almost the same worldwide, with a whopping $149 million. However, "Friends With Benefits" had a slightly higher budget of $35 million than "No Strings Attached" with $25 million.
