Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's projects have taken a dramatic turn.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who resigned as senior royal members in 2020 to purportedly live a more financially independent life in the United States, have been working on a documentary series as part of their multi-million dollar Netflix deal.

The streaming giant's executives, who have yet to officially announce the project, wanted to premiere the documentary series in December, following the release of the fifth season of "The Crown" on November 9.

However, according to Page Six, the pair wants to make further changes to the highly anticipated program, which might delay its premiere until next year.

The publishing date of Prince Harry's highly awaited memoir, which was originally scheduled for November 2022 by Penguin Random House, has already been moved out to next year.

Royal analysts say that the King, Charles III, will defer bestowing the titles of prince and princess on Prince Harry and Meghan's children, Archie Harrison, three, and Lilibet Diana, one, until their media ventures are completed.

While they were part of the normal editing process in the show and the memoir just before Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, sources told the outlet that they want to remove or downplay a lot of what they said about four people: King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.

Many negotiations are taking place, according to a Hollywood insider, and they have heard that Prince Harry and Meghan are delaying the planned releases.

"I wonder whether the show is even dead at this point; do Harry and Meghan just want to put this thing on the shelf?"

Another Netflix insider stated that the platform has been eager to have the series ready to broadcast by the end of the year, and that there is now a lot of pressure on the Netflix CEO, who is dating Prince Harry and Meghan, to complete the project.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are thought to be walking a tightrope when it comes to the British royal family. Despite being the former sovereign's king, their connection with their British ancestors is "remain strained."

Prince Harry and Meghan have lately been demoted on the royal website since they are not working royals.

Despite his relegation in the royal family structure, the Duke of Sussex remains fifth in line of succession, followed by his children, and slightly ahead of his brother Prince William and his three children.
