Ahead of the release of "The Crown" new season, an insider claimed Queen Elizabeth II would feel horrified by how the series portrays the royal family.

On November 9, Netflix will release the 10 episodes of the upcoming fifth season of "The Crown" all out once. The new installment will explore King Charles III and Princess Diana's marriage and the downfall of their relationship.

Before "The Crown" episode 1 airs, a source opened up to The Times and talked about what the late monarch would feel about the series.

The source itself "felt horrified" by what is currently going on with the streaming giant, accusing it of destroying the royal family. With that, the insider assumed the Queen would be destroyed, as well.

"I'm horrified by what is going on with Netflix and how they are vilifying the royal family. It is vicious. It's as if they're trying to destroy the royal family. It would have destroyed her," it went on.

The comment came out nearly a month after The Telegraph disclosed that Buckingham Palace launched a massive move to protect King Charles III's reputation. The move reportedly aims to save his image as the series portrays the "all-out war" of his marriage to the late Princess of Wales.

A friend of the reigning monarch also slammed Netflix for having "no qualms about mangling people's reputations."

Aside from King Charles III and Princess Diana's marriage, reports said it would also tackle the story of John Major's premiership and Tony Blair's life as his successor.

The new "The Crown" series might also include the king's interview with Jonathan Dimbleby and the time he admitted that he cheated on Princess Diana with Queen Consort Camilla.

Queen Elizabeth II Not a Fan of "The Crown"

"The Crown" already got on the Queen's nerves when it aired season 2. The installment in question left Queen Elizabeth II displeased as it falsely presented Prince Charles as having an unhappy time at Gordonstoun (a Scottish public school).

As a senior courtier told Express U.K that viewers started to take the series as an accurate portrayal of the royal family. Unfortunately, there was an episode where Prince Philip was blamed after King Charles III suffered bullying during his time at the public school.
