INDIANAPOLIS, IN - FEBRUARY 03: (L-R) Rapper's Drake and J. Cole attend First Down Friday at Sensu on February 3, 2012 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Celebrity trainer Chris Brickley, known for his work with NBA stars and A-list rappers, compiled a list featuring 10 musicians whom he has trained and observed participating in pick-up games on New York City's west side as part of his renowned Black Ops Basketball sessions.

A vibrant discussion started on Instagram with the question: "Who is the best basketball player among artists?" The post aimed to engage followers, recognizing the possibility of a longer list but ultimately featuring 10 artists.

Brickley's list, seemingly unordered, features notable basketball highlights from Drake, J. Cole, Justin Bieber, Lil Durk, Travis Scott, Quavo from the Migos, Dave East, Chris Brown, Rowdy Rebel, and H.E.R.

A heated debate unfolded in the comments section, and even Chris Brown joined in, declaring Dave East as the standout. Highlighting Dave East's background as a Division 1 basketball player for Towson University, Brown asserted, "Dave is the only one that can really hoop." He playfully challenged others, stating, "Y'all better stop playing; I will cook the rest!!! Y'all know my body."

Quality Control Music A&R Wayno echoed this sentiment, stating, "Dave East, and he doesn't even train. If he trained for just one month, no rapper could beat him in basketball."

Sheck Wes objected to the list, deeming it "blasphemy" for not including him. The "Mo Bamba" rapper, who pursued professional basketball overseas in the French league for the 2021 season, expressed disbelief at his omission. The list's impact extended to NBA players, with Milwaukee Bucks superstar Damian Lillard acknowledging it and awarding the title belt to Dax.
