The National Football League (NFL) placed the Super Bowl reporters in an ancient Egypt-themed hotel and casino, deemed one of the "most haunted" places on the Vegas Strip.

According to Mercury News, hundreds of media members were greeted by a 106-foot-tall sphinx and a 350-foot Dorito-plastered pyramid when they arrived at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for their Super Bowl coverage on Sunday.

The designated media hotel for the annual NFL event this year reportedly holds a history of tragic deaths and paranormal experiences, leading some to believe that it is haunted.

When Arash Marzaki of The Sporting Tribune tweeted about Luxor as the designated Super Bowl media hotel, many reacted to his post.

"The NFL must really hate their media members," one user commented.

"Whew, the NFL hates its media baby. The Luxor is like sleeping inside a lit cigarette," claimed a second user.

"They know that the Luxor is haunted, right?" tweeted another.

In October 2020, a paranormal researcher named Chris Amandier launched a nine-part series about the hauntings at the Luxor Hotel and Casino, available to view via his blog or podcast, "Buried Secrets Podcast."

According to him, the hotel features an exhibition called "Bodies... The Exhibition," showcasing real human bodies that had been meticulously dissected and preserved.

The exhibition, which has been experienced by more than 15 million people from different parts of the world, displays full bodies and organs, giving visitors a three-dimensional vision of the human form.

Amandier also indicated in his posts that the establishment was built on the site of a burial ground for mob victims.

He wrote that ghastly suicides happened within the premises because "jumpers jump inside the building, into the casino and reception area."

In 1996, a woman reportedly fell from the 26th floor, landing right where the buffet was and died. Several other deaths allegedly took place at the hotel.

Ghost City Tours has described "The Curse of the Luxor" with this phrase: "When you stay at the Luxor, you're gambling with your life."

"The Luxor has had a significantly high number of murders, suicides and unexplained deaths," the company noted.

A poltergeist reportedly makes a metallic noise that clangs like clockwork every 8:30 a.m. in room 30018.

Multiple rooms are also reportedly haunted by "The Deadly Blonde." Numerous visitors have woken up feeling hands gripping tightly around their necks.

Another post said several guests heard a suspicious sound of a fist hammering against the door in the middle of the night on empty hallways.
