Melania Trump's former aide, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, broke her silence after being seemingly blamed for the ex-FLOTUS' noticeable absence in the public eye.

An unnamed insider recently claimed that Melania rarely joins her husband, Donald Trump's campaign, due to her negative experience in the White House. Trump's wife allegedly decided to be more private after she was "betrayed by her staff." The claim came after Melania's two former aides, Winston Wolkoff and Stephanie Grisham, released tell-all books against the former first lady.

The "Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady" author has now fired back at the allegation and called Melania a "liar." Winston Wolkoff took to X, formerly Twitter, and called the claim about the "betrayal" as an excuse for Melania's absence in her husband's campaign trail "pathetic."

"The AUDACITY! For any human being to make EXCUSES for Melania Trump not campaigning with Donald because she 'felt betrayed by her staff' is PATHETIC," Winston Wolkoff wrote. "Melania LIED & watched the media & her WH CRUCIFY me & then she used her DOJ to try and SILENCE me. EVIL!"

Winston Wolkoff's tweet quickly received mixed responses from the netizens. Some sided with her, while others defended the Trumps.

"She came into the WH having lied about her education, plagiarized a speech, & being all in on the racist birther nonsense. Then she refused to move to DC for 6 mos & did nothing as FLOTUS, while costing US taxpayers millions. Then we learned she lied about speaking French & Italian," one commented.

Another wrote, "It's not like anyone can expect truth, ethics or integrity from either Melania or Donald Trump."

"We all seen how the Trumps were treated, you wish we would forget. #Trump2024," a Trump supporter opined.

Another Trump fan added, "No one sane believes you. Only the leftwing radical lunatics. You are a lying piece of garbage."

Winston Wolkoff has made several statements about the Trumps recently. In one tweet, she pointed out the former president's lack of "chivalry" toward his wife. Many outlets quoted her statement and interpreted it as a sign that the Trumps were having "marital woes."

She, however, clarified that it was not her point. Melania's ex-aide said she just wanted to highlight the change in their dynamics and didn't mean that the Trumps' marriage was on the rocks.

Winston Wolkoff also previously said Melania and Trump have a "transactional" marriage. However, she pointed out that whatever their arrangement was, "their marriage works for them both."
