The probate judge reportedly refused to identify herself and "appeared to be under the influence." Once Peterson was taken to jail, she continued to refuse to give her identity before telling them to notify another officer, who shared her identity.
'Fox 5' reported that the Metro Atlanta judge was scheduled to have her first appearance at Fulton County court Thursday, but chose to waive her appearance.
The news hub also reported that in April, Peterson was found guilty by a Judicial Qualifications Commission Panel of "systemic incompetence," as the panel recommended she be removed from office.

In addition to the ruling, she was reportedly featured in several 'Fox 5' investigations since taking office in 2020, citing that the judge has faced 30 counts of misconduct in hearings dating back to September.
'Channel 2 Action' news claimed that Peterson's office told reporters that she was not in for work Thursday.
