During ABC's broadcast of Iron Man 2 Tuesday night, Marvel fans were graced with a new extended trailer for the franchise's next film to hit theaters -- Thor: The Dark World.

The newest version, which clocks in at about 2:45, teases a few new scenes and a slightly longer fight scene near the end. Ultimate fans of the franchise were excited by the newest look at the movie. Comments on denofgeek.com all expressed excitement for the film that was only increased further by the new trailer.

"Of the post Avengers films I'm actually looking forward to this a lot more than I was IM3. The trailer has just ramped up my desire to see it," commenter Toonmonkey wrote.

"Going to be out of this world (pardon the pun)," commenter Ashley Harrington agreed.

Youtube comments were also fairly positive.

"This is gonna be a good movie," said C.J. Johnson.

Commenter Anthony Lewis summed up the hype best, simply saying, "AWESOME."

The extended trailer also features a few new scenes giving a quick look at Idris Elba's character Heimdall, which wasn't previously included in the first trailer released four months ago when Iron-Man 3 opened in theaters. The extended trailer also features a brief tease at ABC's new show Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., slated to premiere next week with more sneak peeks at Thor.

When Thor hits theaters in November it will feature a first look at the 2014 film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Enstars previously reported.

Thor: The Dark World opens in theaters Nov. 8. Both versions of the original trailer and the extended trailer can be watched below.
