TR Knight Married; Former 'Grey's Anatomy' Star Has 'Small and Quiet' Ceremony, Katherine Heigl Attends
Actor TR Knight is off the market.
The former Grey's Anatomy regular married his longtime boyfriend Patrick on Friday, according to US Weekly.
While the last name of his new husband seems to be a mystery, it appears that the pair held a small ceremony for close friends and family.
"It [was] very small and quiet," said a source of the 40-year-old's wedding, reports US Weekly.
Although Knight may have left Grey's Anatomy in 2009, another alum of the ABC medical drama was in attendance at the early October affair. Katherine Heigl, who formerly portrayed Dr. Izzie Stevens, made an appearance on Friday, according to US Weekly's source.
The actor came out as gay in 2006.
I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I'd like to quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there," Knight told People at the time. "While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me.
Knight, who began acting at the age of five in his home state of Minnesota, is currently staring in an off-Broadway rendition of Romeo & Juliet. A production of the Classic Stage Company, the Shakespeare classic features Knight in the role of Mercutio and upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron actress Elizabeth Olsen as Juliet.
