Will Ferrell portrayed Ron Burgundy on a real news program -- North Dakota's KX News -- as part of his tour for Anchorman 2.

Ferrell has been doing the in-character press tour for the Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and has been promoting it as Ron Burgundy since March -- he shot a TV spot for Comic Relief 2013. More recently, he hosted the MTV EMA nominations special as Ron.

In October, Ron was hired as the face of a new Dodge campaign with his starring in all their Durango ads.

In the clip Ferrell co-hosts the news hour with Amber Schatz (who can barely stop smiling through the news cast). The two reported a bit about the Slope County's efforts to curb speeding with dummy squad cars. Ron also pitched in on the weather report and a discussion of a skirmish at a hockey match.

In the new film the ambitious San Diego-based newscasting team heads to New York City. The group has been recruited for a 24-hour-news channel that is being revived in the city and they are all set to make a comeback.

Steve Carell as Brick Tamland, Ferrel as Ron, Paul Rudd as Brian Fantana, and David Koechner as Champion Kind.

Kristen Wiig was added to the cast as Brick's love interest. The original team of filmmakers reprise their roles for the sequel. The film was directed by Adam McKay, produced by Judd Apatow, and written by McKay and Ferrell.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues hits theaters Dec. 20.
