Dumb and Dumber 2 will have numerous celebrity cameos, according to one of the film's directors, Peter Farrelly.

Farrelly did a Reddit 'Ask Me Anything' chat Saturday, answering many questions about the highly anticipated Dumb and Dumber 2, which has been stylized to Dumb and Dumber To.

"We have some of the greatest cameos in film history in Dumb an[d] Dumber To," Farrelly revealed. "However, we want to keep them as a surprise. I will say this, some of the names I've seen bandied about are incorrect. But you won't be disappointed."

Jennifer Lawrence had been rumored to be appearing in Dumb and Dumber 2, but it is unknown if Farrelly is referring to her as being an incorrect cameo rumor. Texas Rangers pitcher Derek Holland also revealed that he would be in the opening scene.

Farrelly also said that he was trying to aim for an earlier release date than its previously announced November release.

"We just finished shooting, don't want to brag, but it could be the best movie of all time," he joked. "Seriously though, we're thrilled with it and are trying to get the studio to push the release date up."

Additionally, Farrelly revealed that a teaser trailer for Dumb and Dumber To is coming within six or eight weeks, so fans should expect to see the first footage from the film by March or April at the latest.

Dumb and Dumber To is scheduled for release in theaters on Nov. 14, 2014.
